Chief Boden's (Eamonn Walker) job is on the line after a bad call in an investigation in the upcoming episode of the NBC series "Chicago Fire."

In "A Taste of Panama City," Cartermatt reports that an internal investigation in the aftermath of a complicated call to a fire will put Boden in a difficult position. Because they are unable to help their leader, members of the firehouse are visibly frustrated with the turn of events. Will things clear up soon for the team or will their chief be ousted from his position?

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Severide (Taylor Kinney) cannot seem to get the hang of doing a smaller role, especially in the presence of his new commanding officer Captain Patterson (guest star Brian White). As for the firefighters, they have their own battles to overcome. Dawson (Monica Raymund) will think it has become too boring at work and will decide to shake things up.

Casey (Jesse Spencer) will once again try to find a crucial piece of evidence in his ongoing investigation against Nesbitt (guest star Eric Mabius). Elsewhere, Herrmann (David Eigenberg) is busy managing his domestic life, as he struggles to keep the peace with his newest neighbors.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Matt Olmstead talked about Severide's dilemma and the new turn of events between Casey and Dawson. According to him, Kinney's character was actually thinking of going into another firehouse and starting fresh. Severide's pride was trampled on when a new guy showed up questioning his and Boden's leadership.

Olmstead shared, "That's his dilemma going forward with the Brian White character in terms of working under somebody and the embarrassment of being demoted. 'How bad do I want it to work my way back?'"

Meanwhile, Olmstead revealed that due to the unexpected pregnancy, Dawson has to move over to arson investigation. Her condition would also make Casey reflect on how special and important she is to him.

"Chicago Fire" airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
