Rick works together with a new partner in episode 17 of "Castle" season 7 titled "Hong Kong Hustle," and Kate Beckett gets jealous knowing that her husband finds his new teammate gorgeous.

The new girl from Hong Kong is undoubtedly brave, beautiful and intelligent — words so often used to describe Beckett — so viewers can figure out how jealousy creeps into the toughest layers of the detective's skin so easily. For added trouble, the newcomer is also highly-skilled, making Beckett feel like she already met her match. So how will Beckett deal with this emotion? More importantly, how will Castle handle it?

Executive producer David Amann believes that Beckett is looking ahead, preparing for her and Rick's future. Everything seems to be in place now and the only thing that's left for them is to shape their future the way they want it to be, and that may involve having a Castle baby in the house.

"She's been driven for the better part of her adult life by the death of her mother, which is now resolved," Amann told TV Guide. "Her relationship with Castle is settled, so she's at a place now where she really needs to be thinking about, 'What does she want that future to be?' It seems like children are going to naturally be a part of that discussion."

Although adding daddy duty to Rick's list sounds exciting (it would be fun to see the mystery novelist-turned-renowned-detective change his baby's diapers once in a while), the showrunner broached that Beckett is merely chewing things over and is not primed to get into that just yet. But one cannot discount the possibility and the fun, of course.

Viewers will have to wait until next week to see the new "Castle" episode. ABC is delaying it to air a new installment of "The Bachelor." Episode 17 "Hong Kong Hustle" will instead be aired on March 16.
