The Carolina Panthers will likely have tight end Greg Olsen, who suffered a knee injury in last Sunday's win over the Atlanta Falcons, when they try to go 14–0 against the New York Giants this Sunday for Week 15 action.

One day after hurting the knee, Olsen had a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) Monday.

According to the Charlotte Observer, a source said Olsen will likely be playing in what will be his 140th consecutive game which is second among tight ends in the National Football League (NFL) behind the Dallas Cowboys' Jason Witten (200 games).

In their victory against the Falcons, Olsen had three receptions for 52 yards and was third in receiving for the Cowboys.

The 30-year-old tight end has played in all their 13 games this season and has a total of 65 catches for 969 yards and six touchdowns already, the same number he had in the 2014 season.

Unfortunately for the Panthers, if Olsen seems likely to play, running back Jonathan Stewart is uncertain for Sunday's showdown with the Giants.

Along with Olsen, Stewart also had an MRI last Monday and appeared to have suffered a foot sprain, according to the Charlotte Observer

The report added that a decision regarding Stewart's playing status will likely be made later this week.

However, with the Panthers' current record and also having a sure home playoff game in January, it is likely that Stewart will sit out against the Giants.

Against the Falcons, Stewart led Carolina's rushing with 10 carries for 75 yards and one touchdown.

Playing in all of the Panthers' 13 games this season, the 28-year-old has 242 carries for 989 yards and six touchdowns.

Following their game against the Giants, the Panthers will take on the Falcons (Week 16) again, before closing the season versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Week 17).

As they continue to remain unbeaten, their unblemished 13–0 record will surely seal them the National Football Conference (NFC) South.
