Cat (Kristin Kreuk) delves deeper into the Ellingsworth family in the upcoming episode of CW's hit series "Beauty and the Beast" season 3.

In "Sins of the Fathers," Cartermatt reports that Vincent's (Jay Ryan) fiancée will find herself digging into the secrets of the family who has ties with Liam (Jason Gedrick). Last episode, Cat discovered that the villain was actually an Ellingsworth ancestor, and he has been alive since 1854. Now, she has to find another way to bring him down. How can someone who is obviously supernatural, has been alive for more than a century, and a beast to boost be defeated?

Liam has proven himself to be a very dangerous foe and if Cat and Vincent have any hope of crushing him, they have to figure out a different way, something they have not thought of before. The website posits that the two will have to make "some big moves," but also have to face the consequences that their action will bring.

In the synopsis, Vince will realize that the only way to overpower Liam is to use their secret weapon. What kind of "weapon" is he pertaining to? Does it have something to do with an offensive maneuver, something that Liam will not expect they will use? Or is it connected to the villain's past that Cat has been intent on investigating? Whatever strategy it may be, the two need to get a move fast as the situation is steadily getting out of hand.

Last episode, Liam succeeded in making Vince help him get the "evidences" that would expose them as beasts. Trying to keep his identity secret while learning what made Liam tick, Vince agreed to help. It turned out that the villain was setting him up, as the police did not have anything substantial against him. Liam forced Vincent to turn primal while the alarm informed the authorities that beasts were inside the compound. Vince had no choice but to run to avoid getting caught.

Meanwhile, also in episode 12, JT (Austin Basis) continued to look for the cure to save himself from the debilitating effects of the serum. Venture Capital Post reports that he has already formulated a theory, but as it involves Liam, it is proving to be very risky. Now on the brink of dying, JT is clearly desperate to save himself. Will he tell Vince and Cat about his plan? Or will he do a very dangerous thing and approach Liam himself?

"Beauty and the Beast" airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on CW.
