Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller has been linked to a move to Manchester United recently and according to club captain Philipp Lahm, it is not impossible that the 25-year-old athlete will follow midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger to Old Trafford.

"In football you can imagine everything. It's not my decision. In football, it goes so, so quickly. It's not always only up to the player. There are clubs who get players, players go," Lahm said in a conference in Shanghai.

Lahm added that everything happens quickly in the sport; and that there are no guarantees, so he cannot give one regarding Thomas Muller's future with the club.

"You can always imagine anything happening," the 31-year-old club captain added.

Lahm also gave assurance that he will not follow former teammates and leave Bayern, which has been his club since 2002.

"That's not going to happen with me. I'm pleased that I've been able to spend practically all my career at home. It's great to be in the same club for so long."

Despite all the transfer rumors and issues surrounding the club, Lahm believes Bayern can still compete at the top level.

He cited Bayern's consistency in the past few seasons as they always made it at least to the Champions League semifinal.

Lahm stated that they have a team that is well-equipped and is ready to compete.

"So you don't have to be worried about anything. And I'm definitely not worried about Thomas — I don't think we're going to let him go," the Bayern captain added.

Another player for Bayern who is being rumored to leave is midfielder Márcio Rafael Ferreira de Souza, who is commonly known as Rafinha.  The midfielder recently applied for a German passport leading to talks that he plans to play in the international level, ESPN reported.
