Even though Barcelona have the big upper hand in the tie, they must be weary – Manchester City have one of the most explosive attacks in Europe, and they come into this game with really nothing to lose. They could throw caution to the wind and go all out attack on Barcelona, and if they can get a few quick-fire goals they will be right back in the tie and momentum will be firmly in their corner.
Barcelona no doubt will try to defuse any threat by simply keeping the ball away from City. Barcelona are the kings of possession football, and that will surely be their tactic tonight – if City do not have the ball they cannot score – simple.
The Spanish giants will be hoping to pass City to death, and look to pierce the defense of what might become an increasingly desperate City team. If Barcelona score a goal tonight then the tie will be all but other, barring an avalanche of goals from City's front men.
