2016 Volvo XC90 already overstepping sales forecast

There must be something pretty neat about the 2016 Volvo XC90 family SUV that is racking in global orders.

The Volvo XC90 had already launched in Australia some weeks back, but it seems that the orders just keep on piling in. In fact Volvo Cars reports that the company has received 57,000 orders globally, overshooting the 50,000 units sales forecast made by the company.

With that development, Volvo Cars will need to make the necessary adjustments particularly at their plant in Torslanda, Sweden. To meet the demand, the company will have to run three shifts.

The Volvo XC90 is undoubtedly a dream SUV to have. The outer make alone covers a sleek and luxuriously packed vehicle that has understandably gained the interest of consumers. Could this be a result of a global marketing campaign that the company resorted to be a reason?

Apparently there have been potential buyers who have booked to test drive the XC90 as the orders keep coming in. And if the trend continues, it will indeed be safe to say that Volvo Cars may have entrenched itself as a prestige car maker, something that Volvo Cars Australia Managing Director Kevin McCann claims.

The Volvo XC90 is one of a series carrying a major redesign since Volvo's line back in 2003. The model retails for about $48,900.

So has Volvo finally found the right design that has modestly accounted for the fast selling SUV? Apparently the company has done something to appease the consumer market, injecting its list of new technologies.

Aside from that, a report from Bloomberg bares that customer are drawn to the Volvo XC90 due to its features. Such include its bold erect grill, 21-inch rims, Volvo's signature still-square shape of the side windows, T-shaped LED headlamps, three rows of seats, latte-hued wood panels in the car's interiors, and sunroof.
