Microsoft is now allowing Xbox One owners to stream games directly from their consoles to their Windows 10 personal computers (PCs) or tablets.

The new feature for both the Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs has actually been a long time coming, as Microsoft first announced their plans to make this particular service available all the way back in January. Of course, given that there was no Windows 10 available at the time; people had to wait for it to be available before the feature could go online as well.

The feature will enable users to basically play Xbox One games from almost anywhere in their house without them ever needing to move their consoles, according to The Verge.

Enabling the streaming process itself is also quite simple. Users first have to allow the Xbox One to stream to other devices via the settings option. Next, users will need to install the latest version of the Xbox One app on whichever Windows 10-enabled PC or tablet they want to use. Finally, they just have to go to the app and select "connect" and add a device," which would be the PC or tablet they want to use. Then they will be all set to stream their games, according to Digital Trends.

Since the Windows 10 has yet to be officially launched, the only ones who can make use of the streaming service now are those chosen to be beta testers for the new OS. The rest will just have to wait until July 29 or later before they can start streaming their own Xbox One games.

Aside from the new streaming feature, the latest update for the Xbox One also introduces a new "home feed" along with new ways for users to change their avatar. Xbox One owners can now also use the new party chat feature, which enables them to communicate with their friends on Xbox One even through their PCs.
