Xbox One Backward Compatibility list now includes 'Final Fight: Double Impact' and 'Deus Ex: Human Revolution'

 Xbox, Microsoft

Larry Hryb aka Major Nelson of the Xbox Team has announced via Twitter that five more games have been added to the list of Xbox One Backward Compatibility feature. These games include "Frogger 2," "Puzzlegeddon," "Faery: Legends of Avalon," "Final Fight: Double Impact" and "Deus Ex: Human Revolution."

"Deus Ex: Human Revolution" is the third game in the franchise and is set as a prequel to the first two games. It is set during the time period where human augmentation is still a new concept and there is a strong imbalance between the poor and rich who are able to acquire and maintain their augmentations. The game also focuses on a strong narrative surrounding the main character, Adam Jensen.

"Final Fight: Double Impact" is a double release as it comes with the arcade version of "Final Fight" and the arcade game "Magic Sword." The arcade version of "Final Fight" has all three playable characters -- Guy, Cody and Mike Haggar -- and has the option for multiplayer.

The console versions of "Final Fight," particularly for the SNES, had only Cody and Mike as playable characters and there was no option for two players to play simultaneously. There was a later title release called "Final Fight Guy," which allowed players to play as the ninja Guy although it eliminated Cody from the list of playable characters.

As stated in a report from Gamespot, if a consumer already owns these games they will appear on their list of "Ready to Download" games. The games can also be purchased digitally on the Xbox One online store. To date, there are now over 170 games included on the full list of Xbox One Backward Compatibility feature.

However, fans are still clamoring for games such as "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" and "Red Dead Redemption" to become backwards compatible. Both have been hinted at but there are no official release dates for these at the time being.
