There was a time when Tammy Lynn Sytch aka Sunny was one of the most watched female personalities in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), particularly in the Attitude era. Sadly, things haven't quite panned out well for the former manager who has had frequent run-ins with the law.
The recent word about Sytch is that she was apprehended yet again for missing court dates. After reportedly skipping three court dates, Sytch was finally arrested and is now in custody. Her bail was set at $2,000.
Apparently Sytch is no stranger to run-ins with the law. During her days in the WWE, she was arrested multiple times and even served four months in prison for violating a restraining order.
One of her latest episodes involves driving erratically at a Wal-Mart parking lot which had tied her up to possibly driving under the influence (DUI). But compounding the issue was the fact that she was driving with a suspended license.
History reveals that Sytch has had her issues in the wrestling scene. A reason for her release in the WWE was reportedly caused by her addiction to pain killers, not to mention no-shows when she was scheduled to appear.
She eventually found her way into the Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) and World Championship Wrestling (WCW), but it seems her woes radiated there as well. She was initially partnered with Chris Candido at ECW but eventually left. Word had it that Sytch was found passed out in her dressing room.
Both Candido and Sytch would return to the WCW scene, only to depart a year later, reportedly due to an issue tied up with drug addiction.
Right now, she has a Dec. 1 pre-trial conference scheduled and if no deal is reached between now and then, she will have to go to a jury trial on Dec. 7.
On related news, Sytch brought to Twitter her defense, saying that she was not given a DUI for a June 20 incident, in which she crashed another car, and that she actually had a seizure while driving.
Purposely failing to appear in court, however, may need a better explanation than that.
