World's First Christian Youth Mobile Channel Launched

Unity In Values (UIV), the US-based leader in Christian mobile content, announced recently the launch of The Mobile Word Video Community, the world's first mobile channel targeted at Christian youth.

The application of The Word Video gives consumers the opportunity to use technology to stay in touch with the community and express and share their spiritual values.

Unity In Values has launched an initiative to collect video prayers for the troops, with the goal of one million video prayers by the end of June.

The Million Prayers for the Troops initiative allows Christian youth to express their creativity and support for friends and family and other American soldiers in the military.

Users without video phones can upload prayers from their computers at http://www.themobileword.com. Upon review, the submitted prayers will be available at http://www.themobileword.com and via wireless providers who carry The Mobile Word application.

The Mobile Word Video Community supports virtually any mass market mobile phone, allowing a broad range of consumers to download and experience user-generated content on their device.

"We continually support and lift up our American troops in prayer, asking for God's blessing and protection as they carry out some of the most difficult assignments imaginable, laying their lives on the line," says Pastor Greg Laurie. "And it's gratifying to receive feedback at Harvest Ministries from service men and women around the world, saying they are being impacted by the latest technology being used to bring the Gospel message."

Through The Mobile Word Video Community, young Christians are the first to experience the hugely popular user-generated content trend on the Web and on their mobile devices.

In addition to the Million Prayers for the Troops, users can submit Christian and other video clips in the music, comedy, entertainment or inspiration category.

"User-generated content has unleashed consumers' enormous creativity. It is exciting that Christian youth can take advantage of this trend and be the first to experience the power of video expression on their mobile devices," said Gregg Nolan, Head of Brand Management for Unity In Values. "The immediate impact of user-generated spiritual content together with the inherent community-building potential of the mobile phone gives young Christians a unique opportunity to stay connected, while being at the forefront of experiencing technology innovation."
