The new Windows 10 operating system will come in July, according to Advanced Micro Devices' chief.

In a recent conference call, a transcript of which was provided by Seeking Alpha, AMD CEO Lisa Su answered questions about the future and direction of AMD for this year. In a question from Harlan Sur of J.P Morgan, Su let it slip that AMD would be working much more in the second quarter, as the new operating system from Microsoft will arrive in the third quarter, more specifically, in the later part July.

Su said, "With the Windows 10 launch at the end of July, we are watching sort of the impact of that on the back-to-school season, and expect that it might have a bit of a delay to the normal back-to-school season inventory build-up."

As one of the tech industries that is heavily involved in computers, AMD is in a position to procure advance knowledge. It is one of the major players in the computer industry, and many of the company's products, such as processors and chipsets, are used globally.

If, indeed, the new Windows 10 operating system would be released in July, there would be a slew of new devices like smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktops running the newest OS from Microsoft before the year ends. The OS is designed to be a new version of Microsoft's operating system, intended to be fashioned with a more user-friendly and traditional desktop interface, as well as an organized yet cohesive environment that would accept universal apps.

Microsoft has previously indicated that the official release of Windows 10 would be sometime this summer.  It will be released in 190 countries and in 111 languages. The company is also offering a free upgrade to Windows 10 for Windows 7 and 8 users.
