US PGA Golf 2015 live stream, leaderboard, Tee Time schedule: Dustin Johnson leads after first round

Dustin Johnson had a strong start in the US Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) Championship 2015 at the Whistling Straits, leading after the first round when he shot a first-round 66 for six under par.

This is the third time Johnson led in a major after the first round as he also led at the British Open Championship and the U.S. Open at the same stage this 2015.

"Today was pretty easy, I would have to say. I was swinging well and I was hitting the shots where I was looking and I really felt like I was just super patient, stayed focused all day. I really felt like I had my ball under control a lot like I did at the US Open," Johnson said after his first round effort, according to BBC Sports.

Following him was Swede David Lingmerth who finished the first round with a five under.

Defending champion and world no. 1 Rory McIlroy, who is returning in his first tournament after missing action since June because of an ankle injury, ended the round one under par despite starting and ending with bogeys.

The 28-year-old golfer said that "it was a solid round of golf" and was satisfied with his overall performance.

Another competitor who finished one under par is world no. 2 Jordan Spieth who had 10 straight pars with a bogey in the 11th but tied the world's best with two birdies.

"Under par was a good round this afternoon," the 22-year-old Spieth said, according to the International Business Times.

Spieth also spoke about McIlroy's performance believing that the defending champion is ready coming off an injury.

Meanwhile, former world no. 1 and currently ranked 278th Tiger Woods is again having his tournament hopes in jeopardy after closing the first round with a score of 75.

Woods said he hit it great in the first round but "absolutely made nothing."

The second round of the US PGA Championship 2015 will be shown on TNT (United States) and Sky Sports 4 (United Kingdom).

The event Tee Off times, and up to date leadersboard can be found in the following link, and the golf can be watched on TV and online through live stream via TNT, Sky Sports Live and Sky Go and on the PGA Tour website by clicking here.
