Naughty Dog finally unveiled the details of the highly anticipated "Uncharted 4" co-op mode.

The game's new co-op mode, dubbed as "Uncharted 4: Survival," will reportedly bring back the excitement offered by the previous Co-op Arena that was introduced in "Uncharted 2" and "Uncharted 3."

Naughty Dog game designer Vinit Agarwal revealed via the game studio's official blog that the "Uncharted 4: Survival" mode will allow up to three players to work together to combat the highly powerful enemies and a number of unique objectives.

"We've built upon and evolved the core gameplay experience with an entirely new level of depth, challenge, and variety," the game designer also stated. "From new enemy types and powerful new bosses to a dedicated progression system and expansive upgradable arsenal, Survival is all about strategy, camaraderie, and skill."

The game designer also revealed that players will be dealing with numerous Shoreline soldiers as well as unbreakable Brutes, Hunters, and Snipers that become more powerful as the game progresses within the new mode's 50 waves and 10 maps.

It is also mentioned that an intense boss battle will happen after every 10 waves, including the brand new battle called the Pirate Warlords. But to be able to get to wave 50, the players are expected to surpass all the objective modes by defending a specific area, collecting treasures within a particular time frame, or by marking enemies. Several curveball challenges should also be expected to arrive from time to time.

For each successful operation, players will earn in-game cash that they can use to purchase gear and weapons from the arsenal crates that are scattered around the map. Some of the weapons available include the long guns, Heavy Weapons, and Mysticals, among others.

The "Uncharted 4: Survival" mode will be officially unveiled to the public through a demo at the PlayStation Experience 2016 at the Anaheim Convention Center on Dec. 3 to 4, while players can officially download the mode sometime in mid-December.
