After battling issues with her husband's infidelity in 2013, gospel artist Tina Campbell is using her experience to empower women by writing a book about finding a new version of herself in the Bible.

"Maybe someone could heal by watching me heal. I kinda made (that decision) in the spur of the moment. I didn't know how challenging the process of healing was going to be, but I made the decision in the spur of the moment," Tina said.

She revealed that her initial reaction to finding out of her husband's multiple infidelities was to hurt back, and that in the heat of her rage, she even tried to stab him.  But after her bout with depression, she and her husband have decided to fight back against the evil that has plagued their relationship and entered into a 30 day fast for deliverance and restoration.

"If u are able to, please fast and/or pray daily that God would answer our prayers and give us a deeper love & commitment to him and to each other. We believe he still works miracles and he can give us the greatest marriage we could have ever imagined. We can pray alone BUT your prayers will certainly help," she said in a message to friends and fans at the height of the controversy.

Her sister Erica said that Tina's book is based on her own prayers and reflections, and is intended to encourage women who are going through their own hardships in life.

"Tina's book is coming. It is untitled but it chronicles the prayers she wrote and how she found herself, found the new her in the Bible. You grow up in church but you look at it through different eyes when you go through. And she has written a book that will be amazing I'm sure it will encourage women," Erica, who recently won a Grammy for her solo album Help, shared in an interview.
