'The Good Wife' season 7: Show to be cancelled? what to expect

The Florricks CBS Official

"The Good Wife" is one of CBS' drama series that continue to suffer from low ratings. Does it mean that the show will soon be cancelled?

Although the network has not announced any plans of ending or renewing the show, E! Online took the time to gather a list of TV series that need to be ended.

According to the report, the shows should end soon to keep their positive momentum or simply because they deserve to be cancelled.

Apparently, one of the shows on the list is "The Good Wife." The series' Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) has gone through different significant changes in her life already, but if the show continues, it might eventually get boring.

The story about the political campaigns were accepted to be fun at first, the news outlet noted, but the scenes can get dragging and the only interesting thing left is Alicia and Lucca Quinn's (Cush Jumbo) time in the bond court trials.

Zap2It's TV by the Numbers also has its own analysis on the legal/political drama series. Based on its report, the show garnered two sad-faced emoticons, which means that it is likely to be cancelled by May next year.

The Dec. 1 report from TV by the Numbers revealed that show only garnered 1.06 million viewers among those aged 18 to 49. The website also set a "renew or cancel index" and "The Good Wife" got a low score of 0.66, which places it second to "CSI: Cyber" as CBS' lowest rated shows.

Then again, there's still no confirmatory announcement from CBS yet, but all signs and most media reports suggest that the show is about to bid goodbye to its viewers judging by the ratings.

In the meantime, fans of "The Good Wife" should relish the remaining episodes of the show before winter. A new episode will return on Dec. 13 at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
