'The Flash' season 2B spoilers: Barry Allen on Earth-2

The Flash CW

Expect to see some of "The Flash" characters twice when the series returns for the second half of season 2.

Grant Gustin, the lead actor of the series, recently revealed a major spoiler for the second part of "The Flash" season 2.

"It sounds like we're going to be making an Earth-Two trip in the future at some point this season," Gustin told Entertainment Weekly. "I don't know which characters are going to be going. I'm pretty sure Barry will be one of them. I don't know if we're going to see his doppelgänger when we go over there. I'd imagine we would."

Gustin's statement was supported by a new photo that was released by YVRShoots on Twitter on Wednesday, showing the actor who looks nothing like Barry Allen's usual self because of his different fashion.

But while Gustin is already sure about doing dual roles in the next episodes of "The Flash" season 5, actor Jesse L. Martin said he has yet to discover if his character Joe West will also have a representative on Earth 2. However, the actor said that he already heard a lot of good stuff about his character in the remaining half of the season.

"Earth-Two Joe might have a little musical element to him," Martin teased.

Meanwhile, the promo trailer for the premiere episode of "The Flash" season 2B shows that Barry will contemplate telling the truth about his other persona to his new girlfriend Patty Spivot (Shantel VanSanten). But before he can muster the strength to admit to Patty that he is The Flash, an unknown Metahuman suddenly arrives and kidnaps her.

According to speculations, the Metahuman who is responsible for Patty's abduction is the new character named Tar Pit (Marco Grazzini). But there is no word about the possible reason why he targeted Barry's new girlfriend has been reported.

"The Flash" season 2B begins on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, on The CW.
