'The Elder Scrolls: Legends' release date for Android? PC and iPad later this year

The Elder Scrolls Legends video game was just announced by game developer Bethesda during the recent Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015 press conference event.

Bethesda is expected to release the new Elder Scrolls Legends strategy card game for the PC and iPad platforms later this year, according to reports. There's no exact release date at this time, but according to a spokesperson, more information may soon show up.

An official trailer was also showcased by Bethesda Softworks during the press conference event, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect from the new game including the characters that appeared in the Elder Scrolls series.

The new strategic card game is part of the Elder Scrolls series which has sold more than forty million copies globally, according to a report.

The series had earned the 20th spot of the best video game franchises back in 2012, including the "Greatest Game Series of the Decade" in 2013 based on the GameSpot website.

The Elder Scrolls Legends game will be free to play, according to reports, and is similar to such games as the "Magic: The Gathering".

A release for the Android platform hasn't been mentioned and confirmed yet, but reports say it is possible the new game will be available for Android-based tablets shortly after.

In addition to the recently announced Elder Scrolls video game, Bethesda also showcased the Fallout 4 and Doom gameplay footage during the press conference event.

Bethesda had announced the Fallout 4 video game last June 3 with the launch of a trailer. Fallout 4 is expected to be released for the Xbox One, Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4 platforms, by November of this year, according to GameSpot. Doom, on the other hand, is expected to be released by the first or second quarter of next year.
