'The Blacklist' season 3: Tom and Liz in 'Zal Bin Hasaan'

"The Blacklist" NBC

The previous episode of "The Blacklist" season 3 continued to show Liz (Megan Boone) and Red's (James Spader) struggle to run from the Cabal, but the fugitives were also on a mission to find the Director's (David Strathairn) trusted advisor, who is believed to be kidnapped by episode 6's titular character, Sir Crispin Crandall (Harris Yulin).

The billionaire Crandall has been kidnapping smart individuals in pairs, in an attempt to preserve the human race. Red eventually finds the Director's advisor, Andras Halmi, frozen, and cut off his thumbs to use it to gain access to a safe deposit box containing money.

It was then revealed that the Director has been ripping off the Cabal with millions of dollars.

Meanwhile, Liz might just get the help she needed in clearing her name and she may have her ex-husband, double agent Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold), to thank for.

In the same episode, Tom befriended Asher Sutton (Peter Vack) just so he can find leads on Karakurt's (Michael Massee) whereabouts. He also ended up joining a fight club, in which he was forced to take Sutton's life in a deathmatch.

The gruesome fight ended well for Tom as he was able to find Karakurt as a result, and the story will then continue on with this week's episode 7 titled "Zal Bin Hasaan."

Karakurt was last seen tagging along Tom to Washington D.C., where Tom would help clear Liz's name. While in the area, Tom will also want to meet with Liz, but Red is not sure about it as he still doesn't trust her ex-husband, according to a report from International Business Times. Despite Red's warning, Liz still went off to meet with Tom.

The next episode will also introduce the titular character, who is known as an international terrorist.

"The Blacklist" returns with a new episode every Thursday at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
