'The 100' season 3 premiere: Season may feature Brazilian space station for horror-themed episode

 CW

"The 100" is currently in the middle of production for its third season and while details are sparse regarding season 3's plot and characters, executive producer and series creator Jason Rothenberg revealed via Twitter that there will be an episode freaturing a Brazilian space station.

Rothenberg's tweet reveals that the scenes filmed will involve some type of ghost story. According to Vine Report, speculations are currently suggesting that the ghost story might be a part of an elaborate tale told by the Sky People to the other tribes in order to keep them away.

If this proves true then the Brazilian space station may have been abandoned and no longer used with only one or two people serving as "ghosts" to scare off outsiders. It is also possible that even the Sky People are scared of going to the fallen space station if the episode reveals that the "ghost" is not related to their tribe.

It is also speculated that the space station may be showcased via a flashback. There is the possibility that the space station may have been a part of the Ark but was then later cast out and sent back to Earth. The Brazilian station may have never attached itself to the Ark or could have been a rival economy that eventually fell.

Unfortunately, no other information has been released. Further details regarding the ghost story and the aforementioned space station may be revealed as the season 3 premiere arrives via official images and a promotional trailer for the episode.

Also coming from Twitter is actor Isaiah Washington's warm welcome to season 3 newcomer Rhiannon Fish, who, acording to The Wrap, will be playing a character named Ontari. In Washington's post, he describes Fish's character as a "beast" and that he couldn't wait for her to be revealed to the fans of the show.

No offiical release date has yet been announced but "The 100" season 3 will premiere during midseason 2016.
