As training camp nears, the Tennessee Titans finally inked their no. 2 pick in this year's draft quarterback Marcus Mariota to a four-year deal. The amount of the contract was not disclosed.

As a first-round draft pick, Mariota's deal included a fifth-year team option according to ESPN.

ESPN added that the Titans and Mariota agreed to a partial offset language, which allows the team to get the guaranteed money they granted once the player is released and signs with another team.

"Thank you to the Tennessee Titans organization as well as my agent for making a dream come true. I am very grateful and honored to have this opportunity. I look forward to the future with my teammates, and I'm truly excited to be part of this team," Mariota said in a statement.

Before being signed by the Titans, the 21-year-old was the last unsigned 2015 first-round draft pick.

The Titans are required to report on July 30 with training camp starting on July 31.

"We are glad to have the deal with Marcus done, and I'd like to thank both Marcus and his representatives for their diligence in working with us to finalize this contract. We were confident that Marcus would be under contract before training camp, and we look forward to him starting his career on time with his teammates when we open camp next week," Titans general manager Ruston Webster said in a statement.

Mariota seems to be the hope for the struggling Titans franchise, which finished last season with the worst record in the league at 2-14 and missed the playoffs for the sixth consecutive year.

The Heisman Trophy winner from Oregon has shown great skills in his time with the Titans during their offseason workouts.

Titans teammates, especially receivers, and coaches were praising Mariota for his performance in the offseason and the way he adapted quickly to head coach Ken Whisenhunt's offense.
