As reported by Polygon, "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" is going to grow even further as two characters have been announced to join the roster. The announcement was made during this year's EVO fighting game tournament. The two characters are Bob and Master Raven.
Bob is a returning character, being introduced as far back as 2007 when "Tekken 6" was released. He later appeared in "Tekken 6: Bloodline Retribution," "Tekken 3D Prime," "Tekken Tag Tournament 2" and "Steet Fighter X Tekken." As shown in the reveal trailer, Bob is retaining many of his iconic moves and techniques as he moves to "Tekken 7."
In a report from Attack of the Fanboy, it is stated that Bob's only main difference between "Tekken 6" and "Tekken 7" is his attire. In his debut appearance, Bob wore a red collared shirt, blue jeans and suspenders but now is clad in ripped jeans, a white collared shirt and a colorful jacket.
The second character appears to be brand new, one named Master Raven. It is important to note that the franchise already has a character named Raven. However, Raven is not yet confirmed to be added to "Tekken 7" and it is likely Master Raven will take his place.
An update for the report reveals that Master Raven is Raven's superior and not the latter's daughter or student. This was confirmed by producer Katsuhiro Harada via Twitter. The original Raven debuted back for "Tekken 5" and many have compared him as the franchise's parody or tribute to the film character Blade, played by Wesley Snipes.
Attack of the Fanboy also confirms that these two are not the final characters being added to the roster of "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution." This means there will be more coming and being added to the game, likely before it is officially released for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One in the US sometime in 2017, although a release date has yet to be announced.
