Taylor Swift's sixth album, "Reputation," is set to be released on Nov. 10. However, the album will not be available on any streaming service for at least one week after its launch.

Major streaming services are still in the process of negotiating with the pop superstar and her team about when the new album could become available through their platforms.

The artist has always had a flaky relationship with streaming services. Fans would remember that Swift has made her opinions about ad-supported streaming platforms, saying that it is unfair to artists and songwriters. Her music catalog was only added to Spotify earlier this year, after the singer withheld her songs from the service for three years.

Swift's "1989" album was not available on any streaming platform until after she had a public dispute with Apple Music in 2015.

Now, the singer is making advertisements for Apple Music, and has recently curated a custom playlist for Spotify. However, she still will not allow her latest album to stream on them on its launch.

This means that the only way fans will be able to listen to the album as soon as it launches will be to buy it online or through Target. That will not be a problem for many of Swift's fans as, "Reputation" has already doubled the pre-order numbers recorded by the singer's highly successful "1989" album released in 2014.

Swift is by no means the first high-profile artist to shun music streaming services. Adele did not allow her "25" album to stream on Spotify for months since its release. Beyonce's "Lemonade" is still not available on any streaming service except Tidal, a platform that she co-owns with her husband Jay Z and several other artists.

Still, Swift may still change her mind about allowing "Reputation" on streaming services by its launch. Either way, the album will still be one of the biggest releases of the year.
