Travis (Ryan Lane) will decide to pay a surprise visit to Emmett (Sean Berdy) in the upcoming episode of ABC's teen/family drama series "Switched at Birth."

In "Between Hope and Fear," Cartermatt reports that a travel to Los Angeles is in the books for Travis as he is planning to see his friend, who is also Bay's (Vanessa Marano) ex-boyfriend. After the couple's break up, Emmett decided to leave town and since then, they have heard very little about his whereabouts. Wanting to touch base, Travis will travel all the way to Hollywood, where to his dismay, he will find a totally changed Emmett.

It appears that Emmett has embraced his new lifestyle in L.A. that the people who knew him way back cannot recognize him now. Travis will reportedly be unable to hide his shock about the said transformation. Emmett seems like he has totally moved on from his separation with Bay and is living the dream, with his new friends and new surroundings. Does Bay still have a place in his new life? And what about his old friends?

Meanwhile, Eric (Terrell Tilford) will get the courage to ask Regina (Constance Marie) to move in with him. Daphne (Katie Leclerc) is thrilled for her mother, but Regina is having doubts about accepting the proposal. She worries that she knows little about the mother of Eric's son, Will (Sayeed Shahidi). She will then decide to go to Atlanta to see her and find out more about the woman from Eric's past. Will she be able to put the apprehensions behind her after the trip?

Toby's (Lucas Grabeel) situation will be too much for him to handle. With his ex-girlfriend Regina pregnant and the baby having Down syndrome, he will seek solace from his own family. He will ask for financial support from John (D.W. Moffett), but as the latter is also battling money troubles, his hands are tied. What follows is an ugly scene where John lashes out for his father's inability to help him in these trying times.

As for Bay and Daphne, they will find themselves unable to agree about the right way to handle Regina's pregnancy. This will lead into a little clash that hopefully, they will solve soon.

"Switched at Birth" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC Family.
