'Supernatural' season 11 spoilers: Amara not the evil everyone expects, Sam's friend Sully

Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, who play the famous Winchester brothers in "Supernatural," dished out on what will happen when their characters finally attempt to fight the Darkness in the upcoming episodes of the long-running The CW series.

In their interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actors made a shocking revelation on Amara (Samantha Isler). While it cannot be denied that she hates God for sacrificing her the way He did eons of years ago, it is still unclear if the primordial force is inherently evil. According to Ackles, they themselves were not sure what she would really do to God's creations she claims she would destroy.

The actor said that Amara is still processing everything in the world after being banished for years and years. What is interesting, according to him, is that this uncertainty from the Darkness could actually be beneficial to humanity. Her resolve to observe the creations first before making her move may signal that she is not fundamentally bad. After all, she is God's sister.

"It's weird. We're setting it up as the ultimate evil, but there's also this question of, 'Well, is it?' So does she think that everyone is the enemy? No, I don't think so. It's an interesting character and I don't know how we're going to deal with it," Ackles said.

Speaking of the Divine Creator, Padalecki hinted on His role in helping them fight the Darkness. When asked whether Sam (Padalecki) and Dean (Ackles) could defeat the primordial force without God's help, the actor was quick to say no. But whether they could overthrow the Darkness with or without heavenly support is immaterial, according to him, as the Winchester boys are set to try and stop it from destroying the world.

Meanwhile, the next episode of "Supernatural" will show Sam's imaginary friend, Sully (guest star Nate Torrence), asking the brothers for help. A mysterious being has been killing the make-believe creatures. The synopsis from Comic Book Movie also states that the episode will feature flashbacks in Sam's young life when his father and Dean left him while hunting creatures of the night.

"Supernatural" season 11 will return after a week-long hiatus on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
