'Suits' season 5B spoilers: Harvey caught between saving firm and Mike in midseason premiere

Harvey regrets letting Mike handle his bad fortune alone in "Suits" season 5B. USA Network

Harvey (Gabriel Macht) is at the crossroads whether to return to the firm or save Mike (Patrick J. Adams) when USA Network's "Suits" returns for the second half of its fifth season.

Spoilers Guide reports that Harvey will find himself caught between saving Pearson Specter Litt and his imprisoned protégée in the continuation of the legal drama series. Last season, he had no choice but to tender his resignation to prevent the firm from being seized by Daniel (David Costabile) and Jack (John Pyper-Ferguson). After Mike's arrest, however, Harvey appears to be regretting his decision to leave.

Executive producer Aaron Korsh revealed that what happened to Mike will affect "the trajectory" of what Harvey was planning to do. As for whether or not he will come back, viewers will reportedly get the answer in the next six episodes of the season 5.

"Every decision that everybody made before Mike got arrested, it's all now back up in the air, back in flux. His arrest just trumps everything. They have to circle the wagons and do whatever they can," said Korsh.

The executive producer said that Harvey will end up reexamining the choice he made, but as Daniel and Jack are still waiting in the wings, he is not able to make a definite action plan. According to Korsh, the topnotch attorney will wish that he could undo his decision to quit, and that his guilt will continue to plague him.

Meanwhile, Mike and Rachel's (Meghan Markle) relationship will reportedly suffer due to the former's incarceration. The showrunner told The Hollywood Reporter that although Mike's predicament will push them together, it will still leave a big impact.

"The truth of the matter is I am not 100 percent sure what the ultimate fate of their relationship in these last six is going to be," Korsh said.

Korsh did let slip that the wedding is still on, but not in the same form. The production is reportedly working on that storyline and that it will be "a good one." Will Mike and Rachel hold the ceremony in jail?

"Suits" season 5B is likely to air sometime in January 2016.
