'Suits' season 5B spoilers: Who let out Mike's secret?

Suits USA Network

After Mike Ross's (Patrick J. Adams) sudden arrest, fans of the show will finally find out who turned him in when "Suits" returns for the second half of season 5.

During the midseason finale, Mike was suddenly arrested for committing fraud in the wake of the preparations for his wedding with Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle). This means that their wedding will have to take a backseat so he can fix his legal problems.

But the midseason finale did not reveal who sold out Mike to the authorities. Based on speculations, the list of possible persons responsible for turning him in includes his ex-girlfriend Claire (Troian Bellisario), his former best friend Trevor Evans (Tom Lipinski), or the priest Sam Walker (Scott Michael Campbell). Rachel's parents Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce) and Laura Zane (Megan Gallagher) could also be responsible for Mike's arrest.

To give the fans a little peace of mind, series executive producer Aaron Korsh tweeted a clue about the person who spilled Mike's secret.

According to Korsh, Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht), Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty), Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres), Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman), and Rachel should be spared from suspicions since none of them revealed Mike's hidden truth.

The executive producer also teased what fans should look forward to when "Suits" season 5 returns for its remaining episodes starting with episode 11 titled "Blowback."

"Much of the writers' first inclination was to have a big 'whodunit,' the characters wondering. And I was surprised by that, because I was thinking how we're gonna deal with it is more the matter at hand than who did it," Korsh explained in an interview with Yahoo TV. "But we figured out a way to kind of combine both things. So we'll ultimately answer how it happened, but it is not the end-all-be-all of the first few episodes back. We tried to come up with a good answer."

"Suits" season 5 will return to USA Network on Jan. 27, 2016.
