A new update has just been released for the PC version of "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2."
The newest update comes 10 years after the game was initially released.
As for what the new update brings to "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2," players can expect improvements in several areas of the game.
First off, the game is being updated to better support the better resolution capabilities that are now available more than a decade after it initially came out. Resolution support for the game will be up to 4k and 5k, according to Polygon.
The game has also been updated to better accommodate more controllers. "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2" will also be providing support for controllers from consoles such as PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Support for controllers from consoles that are not from Sony or Microsoft will also be provided.
Players will also have something new to work on in the game, as the latest update is bringing in 37 new achievements to "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2," according to Wired.
"Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2" is also being modified to better work with Steam. The game will now be providing support for the Steam Workshop as well as for the Steam Cloud save feature.
With the game now also providing support for the Steam Workshop, this means that players will now be given the opportunity to create and use mods for the game. Everything from weapon alterations to restoring some intentionally lost content can be changed through mods, and the update is now making it easier for players to do all these things.
The aforementioned mod related to lost content is even available on the Steam Workshop already, so players can also experience the part of the game that is connected to the Sith Lords.
