"The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" was recently released on Switch, making one of the first third-party titles to make its way to Nintendo's most modern console. Now, with a new update rolled out to the version, "Skyrim" became the first third-party game to allow video capture feature on the Nintendo Switch.

The game released update 1.1, which adds the video capture functionality to the title. "Skyrim" joins some Nintendo game titles as the first handful of games to allow the feature. These games include "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe," "Arms," and "Splatoon 2."

The update was rolled out last week, and it added a few bug fixes along with the video recording. It fixes a somewhat rare issue where in static can be heard after performing a fast travel within the game. It also fixes some alignment problems when Legend of Zelda-themed items are placed on weapon racks in player homes.

There are also a bunch of Motion Control improvements in the new update, as well as additional language support for Traditional Chinese.

The video capture feature of the Nintendo Switch is also relatively new. It was added to the console as part of a major update, 4.0.0.Tthe feature allows users to record up to the last 30 seconds of gameplay by simply pressing and holding the console's capture button on the left Joy-Con.

The recorded videos are saved directly to the system's album, where users can trim out the parts that they do not want. The feature also allows the users to share the videos to social media sites like Facebook and Twitter directly from the console.

"Skyrim" was only released to Nintendo Switch a week ago, and has been met with great reviews from critics. The release is a proof that the Switch is capable of handling large open world role-playing games that have been previously available to other consoles.
