Seattle Seahawks roster news 2015: Bryce Brown signed again for depth at running back position

The Seattle Seahawks will be having running back Bryce Brown again for the third time this season after emerging running back Thomas Rawls' year ended abruptly last Sunday with an ankle injury.

Between the months of October and November this year, Brown signed twice with the Seahawks and was also waived for the same number of times, not even seeing regular season action.

But as Rawls went down, the Seahawks immediately reached out to the 24-year-old running back.

"We just got that done. It's a good opportunity to bring a guy back that we've been training. We liked the work that he did. Roster issues made him come and go a little bit here, but we're happy to get him back," Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said in his press conference last Monday regarding the signing of Brown.

Running back DuJuan Harris, who was released by the Seahawks Tuesday, replaced Rawls in Sunday's win over the Baltimore Ravens and finished with 18 carries for 42 yards.

Before Rawls injured the ankle, he had six carries for 42 yards, which was still enough to lead the Seahawks in rushing versus the Ravens.

Now, Brown and the remaining running backs for Seattle should step up their game since Rawls already did such in the absence of the also injured Marshawn Lynch.

The 2015–16 National Football League (NFL) regular season still has three weeks and in that period, it will be seen how the Seahawks, especially their offense, will fare without running backs like Rawls and Lynch.

Up next for last season's runners-up is a matchup with the Cleveland Browns in Week 15, which is the first of a two-game home stand.

The Seahawks will head to Sunday's game riding a four-game winning streak as they are currently second in the National Football Conference (NFC) West with an 8–5 record.
