The struggles for the Seattle Seahawks this 2015 National Football League (NFL) regular season continue as left tackle Russell Okung is questionable for their game against the Cowboys.
After consecutive trips to the Super Bowl in the past two seasons, the Seahawks are not looking like contenders this year having a 3–4 record heading to Sunday's game.
Now, they might try to win their fourth game without Okung who suffered an ankle injury during Thursday's practice and missed the one last Friday.
Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll discussed in a press conference Friday what happened to the 28-year-old and his playing status against the Cowboys.
"He turned his ankle yesterday in practice and got it rolled up a little bit. We'll take it to game time, so he'll go in questionable at this point. We'll have to wait and see. He couldn't do anything today, so we'll see what happens," Carroll stated at the conference.
Okung has not missed a game this 2015 season, but the recent injury which prevented him from practicing Friday might make him do so.
During the press conference, Carroll also spoke about the possible replacement for Okung in case he will not be cleared to play and it will be Alvin Bailey.
Bailey, who is playing in his third year in the NFL and with the Seahawks, has played six games so far this season.
Carroll had good words for the 24-year-old footballer, saying that he knows their system, also calling him a versatile player.
The Seahawks head coach also said of Bailey, "We count on him, he's got good experience with us, he communicates well with the other players, he's a smart player, so we're expecting him to do a good job."
Seattle's matchup against the Cowboys features two playoff contenders last season that are struggling this year and are hoping to string together wins to better their chances of making it to the postseason.
