In episode 13 titled "The Fish Rots from the Head," Olivia will confront Fitz about his womanizing escapades after she learned from Abby (Darby Stanchfield) in the previous episode that the president of the United States is starting to act like a teenager with raging hormones.

Olivia will ask Fitz if he wants the nation to remember him as the kind of president who is "reckless, negligent, and selfish." Fitz was not expecting to be called out for his recent behavior, especially from his ex-girlfriend who left him.

Goldwyn told Parade that the confrontation between Fitz and Olivia in the upcoming episode will just be the tip of the iceberg as Fitz's downward spiral continues to happen after the two women of his life left him.

"I can tell you that Fitz is all alone, Olivia is trying to move on with her life, I am not sure what that means. Mellie (Bellamy Young) is gearing up to run for president, and the presidential campaign is beginning to generate momentum," the actor revealed. "On a personal level, Fitz is really struggling with being by himself. He hasn't been alone his entire life. He is very work focused, but it is tough for him."

The actor also mentioned that it would be hard to say if Fitz and Mellie will become friends anytime soon, since there has been a lot of bad blood between him and his ex-wife.

Meanwhile, the episode will also feature how Olivia and her team will deal with their new task from the White House to cover up the death of an unknown woman found in a hotel room.

"Scandal" season 5 episode 13 airs on March 10 on ABC.
