Salvation Army Unites with Christmas Concert to Collect Toys for Children

|PIC1|The Salvation Army will join forces with US-based Go Fish, an emerging force in family entertainment, during their upcoming "Go Fish Christmas" Tour to collect toys for underprivilleged children.

Families attending each "Go Fish Christmas" performance will be encouraged to bring one unwrapped new toy to the concert, which will be distributed by The Salvation Army to deserving children in the area.

The "Go Fish Christmas" Tour launches 3 December in Jackson, Minnesota, and will travel to Cambridge and Faribault, Minnesota; Madison and Eau Claire, Wisconsin; Fargo, North Dakota; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Cedar Rapids and Cedar Falls, Iowa; and will conclude 17 December in Sevierville, Tennessee.

The group will perform a hometown concert at the Target Centre in Minneapolis on 16 December.

"We're thrilled to partner with the 'Go Fish Christmas' Tour as they share their new CD release and celebrate the true meaning of this season," said Major Ralph Bukiewicz, Community Relations and Development Secretary for The Salvation Army's Central Territory. "They have scheduled excellent opportunities to enjoy an evening of Christmas music and to brighten Christmas for children in your own community."

"The Salvation Army has a tremendous reputation for helping others, especially at Christmas time," said Jamie Statema of Go Fish. "We are honoured they would partner with us in giving back to the communities where we'll be performing. It's a great way for our audience to have an impact on countless children this Christmas!"
