Game developer Rockstar is giving away a bunch of special edition consoles themed after the detective action adventure game "L.A. Noire" to celebrate its re-release. The company is giving away four different gaming devices, including three current generation consoles and one gaming PC, to lucky winners.

The prices for Rockstar's giveaway promo include an Xbox One X, a PlayStation 4 Pro, a Nintendo Switch, and a small form factor gaming PC. Each device has been customized with "L.A.Noire"-themed black and gold design.

For the console, the themed design extends to the controllers, while the gaming PC will include an HTC Vive virtual reality headset.

Players will need to enter the promo at set dates to be able to qualify for the prices. The Xbox One X has an entry period of Dec. 1 to Dec. 7. From Dec. 8 to Dec. 14, fans can join to win the custom PlayStation 4 Pro. Those who want to win the special Nintendo Switch need to enter between Dec. 15 and Dec. 21, while entrees from Dec. 22 to Dec. 28 will get a chance to win the customized gaming PC.

"L.A. Noire" was originally developed and released by the now defunct Team Bondi studio in 2011. A few weeks ago, Rockstar Games re-released the title for new generation consoles Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The re-release will feature improved graphics that take advantage of the power and capabilities of modern consoles. The Nintendo Switch version will also include new intuitive motion and touch controls for a more interesting handheld experience.

On Dec. 15, the video game maker is set to unveil the virtual reality (VR) version of "L.A. Noire" for the HTC Vive. Dubbed "L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files," the VR version will give players a unique experience of immersing themselves in the world of post war Los Angeles, where the game is set.
