The current leaders this season in La Liga will be in action this Sunday when Real Madrid head to Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium to take on Sevilla for a chance to solidify their claim of the top spot in the table.

Real Madrid are currently the number one club in La Liga with 24 points but are tied with defending champions Barcelona, who are sitting on the second spot and will have a chance to take the top position when they play Villarreal also on Sunday.

Los Blancos are heading to Sunday's outing riding a three-match winning streak, defeating Celta Vigo (3-1) and Las Palmas (3–1) in La Liga play, and Paris Saint-Germain (1–0) in the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Champions League.

Leading the charge for Real will be club star Cristiano Ronaldo, who, in an interview with BBC Sport, proclaimed that he is the greatest player.

"In my mind, I'm always the best. I don't care what people think, what they say. In my mind, not just this year but always, I'm always the best," Ronaldo mentioned in the interview.

The 30-year-old footballer also said that in his opinion, he is better than rival and Barcelona star stiker Lionel Messi.

Real also made an announcement on their website that striker Karim Benzema returned to practice following the off field issue he is involved in, with club president Florentino Pérez pledging support to the 27-year-old French national.

Meanwhile, Sevilla are coming off back-to-back losses against Villarreal (2–1) in La Liga and Manchester City (3–1) in the Champions League.

Sevilla currently are 11th in the La Liga table with 12 points and are in a triple-tie with Sporting Gijon (12th) and Real Betis (13th).

An upset over Los Blancos this Sunday will give Sevilla a total of 14 points and may help them break into the top 10 of the table.

The La Liga match between Real Madrid and Sevilla will be on Sunday, Nov. 8, at 3:30 p.m. EST. To watch via live stream, click here.
