Ray (Liev Schrieber) will find himself unable to get rid of Father Romero (Leland Orser) in the upcoming episode of Showtime's crime drama series.
In "Tulip," TV Guide reports that there is no getting away from the determined priest, as he will even appear at the Fite Club to find Ray. Romero will then challenge him to repent for his sins, which the latter will see as going beyond the line. Ray will apparently find the priest too meddlesome for his own good, that he cannot help but lose his patience.
Father Romero learned from Bunchy (Dash Mihok) that the Donovans had something to do with Father Danny's death. Bunchy carelessly admitted that he and Ray were connected to the murder when he succeeded in wooing Teresa (Alyssa Diaz) because of Romero's help. The priest used the younger Donovan to get the information he needed to get to the truth.
Tension is running high between the two men in the promo released by Showtime. Will it eventually result to a fistfight? Even if Romero is a man of cloth, he has shown that he is also capable of strength if needed. Ray is at his wit's end, fed up of the priest's interfering. Will he be able to raise his fist against a cleric?
Meanwhile, Cartermatt reports that Mickey (Jon Voight) will be approached by the police, perhaps regarding the nefarious business of the Minassians. It appears that he will be forced to work with them to bring down the same enemy they have. Last time, Mrs. Minassian (Grace Zabriskie) told Mickey that if he did not get to pay his outstanding balance soon, they would beat him up. As his brothel was not getting him the money he needed, Mickey might just take on the authority's proposal to work together.
However, as it is the older Donovan, one can never know what is running in his mind. He is, after all, someone who excels at manipulation, as the website claims. It is entirely possible that he eliminates his enemy, and at the same time hoodwinks the police. What kind of scheme is Mickey brewing regarding this situation?
