'Ray Donovan' season 3 episode 6 spoilers: Ray ensures Verona will be victorious in election

Election Day is coming and Ray must secure Verona's seat in the upcoming episode of "Ray Donovan." Showtime

It is Election Day in the upcoming episode of Showtime's crime drama series and Ray Donovan (Liev Schrieber) will do his utmost to make sure that it is in the bag for Governor Verona (Skipp Sudduth).

In "Swing Vote," Cartermatt reports that Ray will get deeper in politics as he uses all his cunning to ensure his candidate's win. Meanwhile, once the whole enchilada is done, he and Paige (Katie Holmes) will be able to focus on their National Football League (NFL) plans. The Finney woman is reportedly bent on sealing the deal for her new football team.

Episode 6 will still continue to dwell on Ray's working relationship with Andrew (Ian McShane). Last week, Paige took a page out of her father's book and tried to double cross him by asking Ray to work with her instead of him. Venture Capital Post reports that Ray will be considering her offer, after initially blasting her for her uncouth behavior towards her dad.

Meanwhile, Abby (Paula Malcomson) will finally meet the Finneys in Verona's big party. TV Fanatic reports that Ray's wife will be introduced to the new world he is now in. However, things do not look good, as Paige will give her the cold shoulder. In the show's promo, the introduction looks "shaky" on both ends.

Andrew also does not help the situation, as it is obvious he has little respect for Abby. When Ray abruptly leaves the party, he has no scruples using her to get him to come back.

As for Terry (Eddie Marsan), it appears that his stint in prison has unhinged his mind. He now starts imagining things that are not there. The website posits that it is because of him that Ray left in the middle of the party. What has the younger Donovan done this time that makes his brother leave one of the most important moments of his career?

"Ray Donovan" airs Sunday at 9 p.m. EST on Showtime.
