Prince Charles to join St Paul's 300th anniversary gala concert

The concert on March 3 features performances by internationally acclaimed musicians including John Rutter, Dame Felicity Lott and Catherine Wyn-Rogers.

Also performing on the night are the Choir of St Paul’s Cathedral, The Purcell Singers and the English Chamber Orchestra.

Choral works will dominate the programme: Handel’ s Zadok the Priest, Haydn’s The Heaven’s are Telling from ‘Creation’, Mozart’s Laudate Dominum and Mendelssohn’s O for the wings of a dove.

Simon Johnson will perform Widor’s Toccata in F on the Cathedral organ. The concert will culminate in a performance of Haydn’s Nelson Mass in honour of Lord Nelson whose tomb rests under the Dome.

Proceeds from the celebratory concert will go towards the St Paul’s Cathedral Foundation.
