'Pokémon Z' release date, spoilers: New monsters; Zygarde to take five forms?

Legendary Pokémon Zygarde Nintendo

Fans are getting pretty excited about a new "Pokémon" game, but Nintendo has yet to make a formal announcement about the date of the game believed to be "Pokemon Z."

The excitement was fueled when a report from IGN mentioned that photos of new versions of current pocket monsters appearing in the Japanese magazine, CoroCoro, have been leaked online.

The new monsters will reportedly appear in the upcoming anime "Pokémon XY & Z." One of them is a new version of a Greninja called "Ash-Greninja," which takes the form when it bonds with its trainer Ash to the highest level.

On a more interesting note is the mention of the legendary Pokémon Zygarde. According to the report, the legendary monster will take five forms, namely the core, the cell, 10%, 50%, and Perfect Forme.

A report from Latinos Post explained that the Core Zygarde is the most basic form of the monster that doesn't have movement or thinking abilities, while the Cell form is an immobile telepathic Zygarde.

When the second form evolves into a 10%, it can move with a speed of more than 60 mph and is able to attack using its newly acquired fangs and movement.

The most common form of Zygarde is when it reaches its 50%, and the final form is considered a threat.

All of these Zygarde forms are likely to make appearances in "Pokémon Z" game, reports suggested. The new forms will also likely appear in the upcoming "Pokemon" anime.

In the meantime, fans are still waiting for the announcement on the formal title for the "Pokémon" game that's set to come out next year, but it's highly likely that the game will focus heavily on Zygarde.

IGN already contacted Nintendo for some comments and fans will just have to stick around to get more updates.
