'Pokémon Z' release date: 'Mega Evolution Act IV' trailer hints at new Pokémon

Legendary Pokémon Zygarde Nintendo

"Pokémon" has just released its new trailer of "Mega Evolution Act IV" and fans are even more eager for the release of the upcoming "Pokémon Z."

The trailer lasts for 30 seconds and features Mega-Venusaur, Mega-Charizard, and Mega-Alkazam, among others.

What's more interesting that can be seen in the trailer is the presence of a Pokémon that appears to be a green blob. There are no details surrounding the new character, but according to rumors, it has something to do with Zygarde.

Pokémon fans already know that Zygarde is a legendary Pokémon from Kalos region, joining Xerneas and Yveltal.

Zygarde is described to have a snake-like body that has hexagonal patterns that are colored green, black, and white. In a report from iDigitalTimes, it mentioned that the hexagons found on the green blob could be "fragments" of Zygarde's skin, which will become a new Pokémon.

Another mysterious creature that popped up was one that looked like a monolith. It was presumed that this creature would appear in the new "Pokémon Z" movie, but that remains a speculation only.

The mysterious creature could most likely be a mega-evolution of Zygarde and will most probably be the focus of the new movie.

If rumors prove to be true, then Zygarde would come in second to Mewtwo being legendary Pokémon creatures that mega-evolved.

Fans are now anticipating the big surprise the movie "Pokémon Z" will have. The never-before-seen Pokémon in the movie is interesting enough to catch the attention of any Pokémon fans.

There has been no formal announcement on the release date of the movie yet. In the meantime, while waiting for details on Zygarde and other pocket monsters, fans can simply enjoy "Mega Evolution Act IV."

The Act IV special is scheduled to release in fall this year in Japan. A U.S. release date is yet to be announced.
