'Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire' news: New details emerge for franchise

Fresh details have emerged on the "Omega Ruby" and "Alpha Sapphire" titles for the "Pokémon" franchise.

According to Serebii, the semi-official "Pokemon"-related news website, those who have the "Omega Ruby," "Alpha Sapphire," or their "X" and "Y" title equivalents will have another chance to capture Zygarde, one of the Legendary Pokémon who rarely appear in games.

Zygarde is part of the three-week celebration of the launch of the new "Pokémon XY & Z" anime adaptation in Japan. However, requirements must be met in order to obtain Zygarde. The Pokemon is a Mystery Gift item that will be received via a shared Serial Code given during an airing of the new "Pokémon" anime series. The code, MEGAMEGA, can be redeemed by players via the "Receive a Code" option in the Nintendo 3DS title. Zygarde can be received if the player redeems the code before Jan. 16 next year.

Meanwhile, VCPost indicated that for North America "Pokémon" players, a "Pokémon ORAS" event has been unlocked for them, and this time, it is in the form of a new Pokémon. "Omega Ruby" and "Alpha Sapphire" players in North America will be able to unlock and capture Zoroark, a Pokémon equipped with a special Sludge Bomb move. Aside from the Sludge Bomb, Zoroark also has plenty of other moves in its arsenal, since it comes as a level 50 Pokémon. Other moves include Illusion, Dark Pulse, Sucker Punch, and Flamethrower.

Ending the year with a bang seems to be the drive for the "Pokemon" franchise. Fresh from revealing a new anime adaptation, there is also a new upcoming augmented-reality "Pokemon GO" with an adapted "Pokemon Go Plus" wearable is waiting to be unveiled next year, as well as a new "Super Mystery Dungeon" that will add another RPG dungeon siege title in the franchise.
