"Pokémon Go" players will notice that the former "nests" where they can catch multiple Pokémon are starting to change. Developer Niantic Labs has started a new system where they rotate the spawn points and rare nests for Pokémon a few weeks ahead of a major update, and one rotation is expected by the end of the month.
According to a report from Forbes, this new system of rotating the rare nests ensure that players will be able to get new kinds of Pokemon. Even if a nest spawn several rare Pokémon, it won't be long before players would be able to catch everything available, and by rotating the spawns, players will have a higher chance of finding new Pokémon.
It will also prevent players from simply farming Pokémon at a single place. "Pokémon Go" has been advertised as a game that encourages players to always be on the move, and when rare nests don't change, players can simply sit there to play the game. Rotating the spawn points and rare nests will prevent this and force players to walk around to find the Pokémon they need or want.
The report also points out that common Pokémon will still be constantly available. This includes Pokémon like Pidgey, Zubat, and Ratatta. Rare Pokémon like Dratini will be part of the rotation, ensuring they won't be found in a single nest for too long.
Many fans and players have reportedly started creating their own forums and groups to help locate where Pokémon nests have moved and what Pokémon are available. This will have to suffice for players aiming to catch every Pokémon as Niantic Labs has not launched an official tracking support app.
Another major update is said to be coming to "Pokémon Go," and this means a rotation is expected by the end of September.
