In just less than a week, the month of October arrives and this is good news for all PlayStation Plus subscribed members since it only means another set of games will be available for download at no cost.

October is the month when PlayStation Plus members will get to know which games will be included in the free lineup.

While the month is just days away, Sony has not given out the list of games that will be given away for free.

Sony's Fred Dutton made the announcement that the reveal won't happen until next week, starting on the week of Sept. 28.

Fans will just have to be more patient as the reveal could happen anytime soon.

Meanwhile, it was reported by GamePur last Wednesday that information leaked via the PlayStation Store stated that "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" may be included in the free games come October.

The leaked information may be false, but it also fuels the flame of hope that maybe the game will be offered for free this October through PlayStation Plus.

Aside from "Assassin's Creed," several reports making the rounds online stated that "Super Meat Boy" is also included in the PlayStation Plus free games for next month.

"Super Meat Boy," an indie game, would seem a perfect giveaway for members, noted Latinos Post.

The game was previously introduced on Xbox 360 via the Xbox Live Arcade, and PlayStation also confirmed that the game will be released on Oct. 6.

The same report also stated that "Three Fourths Home: Extended Edition" may possibly be included in the lineup since the game will also be released on the same date as "Super Meat Boy."

Although reports suggest that it is quite likely for the abovementioned games to be included given their release date and the expected timeline of PlayStation's announcement, avid gamers should not be too excited since only Sony can provide the official news.
