After months in Steam Early Access, the massively popular first-person shooter video game "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" finally has an official release date. Version 1.0 of the game will have a full release for PC on Dec. 20.

When the full release arrives, "PUBG" will incorporate the new actions like climbing and vaulting. These new movement dynamics are expected to make a huge impact on the game, as they will give players a way to move through obstacles as well as access to more locations. Players will now be able to move over fences or enter buildings through open windows instead of doors.

The game is also getting a brand-new desert map called Miramar. The map is already playable on "PUBG's" test servers so players can get a feel of it prior to the official launch. The test period will also allow the developers to obtain feedback from players about possible problems with the new map.

During this week's The Game Awards, developer Bluehole unveiled a new trailer for "PUBG" that showcases Miramar.

In contrast to the lush Erangel map that is currently used in the game, the new map appears to include a number of areas, like cities and industrial areas, beach towns and a barren desert. The map also features more colorful and varied designs for its buildings.

According to Bluehole, the features of the new map will drastically change the way players approach the game.

It was also revealed that the Xbox One version of "PUBG" will become available on early access through the Xbox Game Preview program on Dec. 12.

Along with the new movements and map, the lobby screen of "PUBG" is also getting a makeover with the new update. The dimly lit room that was previously seen on the lobby screen has been replaced with a field from the Erangel map.
