Photos: A new lease of life for arson attack church

A grade II listed church that was badly damaged in an arson attack has been finally come off English Heritage's At Risk register.

The 2007 arson attack destroyed much of the interior of St Barnabas Church in Erdington, as well as the roof and stained glass windows.

A £5m restoration project saw the 150-year-old completely rebuilt with the surviving clock tower, and it was rededicated by the Bishop of Birmingham in December last year.

The restoration project incoporated original features with a brand new glass structure that includes worship space, a cafe, and conference facilities.
