'Persona 5' release date: No official date yet, but 2015 is highly likely

"Persona 5" is a much anticipated console game but there's no word on its release date yet and fans are somehow getting impatient.

Reports stated that game developer Atlus is considering the announcement of the game's release at the upcoming D23 Expo to be held in Tokyo, Japan.

Since the expo will happen in November, will it mean that fans will know by then when Persona 5 will be available? Is a December release date highly possible perhaps?

Reports stated that game director Katsura Hashino and game designer Shigenori Soejima recently discussed the upcoming game with Japanese Persona Magazine, as posted on Gematsu website.

Both Hashino and Soejima know very well that fans have been waiting for the game for so long, but they also promised that waiting for the game will be worth it.

"I know it's been a long wait, but I hope you'll give us just a little more time. Hopefully once it's out, it'll all be worth it in the end," Hashino said during the interview.

Meanwhile, John Hardin of Atlus USA is also firm in his belief that Persona 5 will be released in North America as well as Europe within 2015.

In an interview, Hardin mentioned that the team is trying to finalize the titles for EU and they will give the announcement once things are "locked in."

"We don't want another Shin Megami Tensei IV or Devil Survivor Overclocked situation. We are very aware of what happens when we make premature announcements for Europe... The only thing I can confirm for Persona 5 is 2015," Hardin said.

The information about Persona 5 circulating online is purely based on teasers. Fans can expect more spoilers before the game is released just so they will be enticed about the upcoming game.

According to Soejima, there are a lot of things that they need to show so fans should stay alert and look forward to the things to come.

While no official release date for "Persona 5" has been announced yet, reports point to a December release.
