Pentecost explained: A Lego video explaining Pentecost that your children will love

Perplexed about Pentecost? Confused about how to make it accessible to your children? This video by Fr Roderick Vonhögen will make explaining it child's play. Literally.

The priest, a self-confessed Geek, is known for his YouTube videos and love of Star Wars. (If you're a fan of the films, you'll recognise some of the characters are featured in Lego form.) He created this video to share the message of Pentecost with online audiences in a fun and simple way.

The short film follows Fr Black on a trip to the furniture store "Okea". If you've watched The Lego Movie, you'll notice that Fr Roderick's short film has more than figurines in common with the animated hit.

The short video will appeal to kids of all ages, Lego fans and followers of Christ. It's been watched more than 18,000 times since it was posted last year.

The Dutch Catholic priest is a proponent of using modern media tools (blogs, YouTube and social media) for evangelising. He's even written a book, Geekpriest - Confessions of a New Media Pioneer, which features his tips on how to reach out to an online audience, and his own story of becoming a "new media missionary". He's also founded a Catholic non-profit organisation that uses new media to spread the news of the Gospel.

As well as drawing inspiration on evangelising from Jesus, Fr Roderick's website reveals that he's also been influenced by Pope Francis' and his comments on media and technology.
