Paul Walker's death last month in a fatal car crash shocked the world and now fans want the name of the road where he crashed to be named after him.
Fans have been gathering support to get the name of the road changed to the late actor's name, but residents in the area are opposing.
Thousands of fans have signed an online petition to ask the City of Santa Clarita to change the name of the street to "Walker Rodas Memorial Parkway". But residents say that the actor has not done anything for their community and refused the name change. However, without the support of the local community, it is unlikely that the road will be renamed.
Meanwhile, family members of the late actor are now deciding how to split his $45 million fortune. His parents Cheryl Walker and Paul Walker Sr. reportedly want to control his assets to keep it safe for their granddaughter Meadow, who is only 15 years old.
Paul Walker was in the middle of filming the 7<sup>th installment of the Fast and Furious movie at the time of his sudden death.
Universal Studios has announced a new release date for them movie, which was expected to release in the summer of 2014. Now the movie will open in theaters on April 10, 2015.
Universal stated: "Continuing the global exploits in the franchise built on speed, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker lead the returning cast of Fast and Furious 7, which will be released by Universal Pictures on April 10, 2015. James Wan directs this chapter of the hugely successful series, and Neal H. Moritz and Vin Diesel return as producers."
Scenes that were filmed by Paul Walker will remain in the film but it is not known how his character Brian O'Conner will be written out.
Producers have reportedly tapped Walker's brother Cody, 25, to replace him in the film. It remains to be seen whether Cody, who is a professional stuntsman and is nearly identical to his late brother, will take up the offer.
