Pastor Saeed Abedini, who was imprisoned for over three years in Iran because of his Christian faith, has revealed the prophetic dream he had of his prison torture while he was riding a bus from Georgia to Turkey and Iran back in July 28, 2012.
"I was so tired, and I fell asleep on the bus when I had a dream. In my dream I was on a bus, and the bus was full of political and religious leaders. The bus went into the yard of Evin prison, and we had to surrender to all the guards and soldiers that had been working for the prince of Persia. There was no way out," he shares on his Facebook page.
When he woke up, it was almost 12 noon. He told his seatmate about his dream, and even wrote it out in a text message.
Shortly after doing so, Abedini's bus was stopped by a guard of Sepah, who was part of the Militia group of Iran. "Who is Saeed Abedini?" he asked the pssengers.
"I raised up my hand, and he told me to follow him," recalls Abedini. "I followed him into his office, and he took my passport. Right then I knew my life would change in a very hard way."
The pastor was right. He was thrown into prison where he experienced harsh conditions, solitary confinement and torture. As if those things were not bad enough, he was under constant pressure to renounce his Christian faith. "I felt the heaviness of the world on my shoulders and chest and heart, like the earth placed a huge rock on me, and I must bear it," he says.
During that fateful bus trip, Abedini says he was shaken by the Holy Spirit, as if he was being prepared for years of suffering. He faced over three years of intense hardship in the Iranian prison all for the sake of the Gospel.
