"Once Upon a Time" season 5 introduced Emma (Jennifer Morrison) as the Dark One and it seems that the characters have switched roles.

Now that she's found darkness and crossing over to the evil side, there's just that inevitable question of when her dark side will come to an end.

The fall finale episode will be titled "Swan Song," as announced by co-creator Adam Horowitz via Twitter last Oct. 17. From there, speculations have started to turn up. The words "swan song" is used to describe someone's final performance, or in other words, the end.

With the midseason finale episode bearing that title, it is easy to speculate that someone might meet their end and exit the show. On the other hand, there's also the speculation that by that episode, Emma might be freed from the darkness.

It remains to be seen until now. In the meantime, there will be more episodes to watch out for to find out how the quest to find Merlin in order to put a stop to the Dark One and save Emma could be successful.

Meanwhile in a separate report from Entertainment Weekly, showrunners Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis answered some questions about what fans might expect from the remainder of season.

This season's new big bad is King Arthur (Liam Garrigan); but as revealed by the showrunners, Arthur will soon feel remorse for what he did.

Fans may also get to see more of Hook's (Colin O'Donoghue) backstory since the showrunners also said in their interview that the symbols on the captain's ring provide clues to his past life. In addition, fans will also get to see his brother, Liam (Bernard Curry) once again.

Kitsis and Horowitz also hoped that Aurora (Sarah Bolger), Phillip (Julian Morris), and August (Eion Bailey) will return.

"Once Upon a Time" airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
